Saharasplash LFW S/S 2017
Now that I have somewhat recovered from what was an incredibly packed schedule at London Fashion Week, I’m finally giving you the inside scoop on the details! I attended London Fashion Week for five days of non-stop fun, friends and of course catwalk shows. As usual the majority of shows I went to see were at the Freemason Hall near Covent Garden, though I did have to hail a taxi or two at certain times to make it to all the shows.
I’ve worked exclusively with Today I’m Me and their collections to produce five different looks to go with five very different bags. It came to a point on Thursday afternoon when I still didn’t have everything I needed thanks to a delivery mistake, but thankfully by the time Friday came around for day one, I had everything I needed. I want to thank both Eleasha and Evie for being my photographers for the following shots:
Day One: For a rainy day
Dress: Red Herring
Shoes: Steve Madden
Adore me Tote Bag: Today I’m Me
I had this trench coat dress ready and waiting for day one of fashion week. The British weather brought the rain on this day, but I fought back with my fashion and won with this waterproof wonder!
Day Two: Pretty in Floral
Floral print co-ord: Boohoo
Necklace: Butler and Wilson
Shoes: Melissa for Vivienne Westwood
Duster coat: Boohoo
Miss Molly Bucket/Duffle Bag: Today I’m Me
Thankfully by day two I could leave the waterproof attire behind me and move onto a very elegant two-piece. I had my hair and nails done at the Grooming room which was fabulous and I had several comments on my gorgeous bucket bag!
Day Three: The Sandy/Danny combo
Jeans: TU by Sainsburys
Aztec bodysuit: American Apparel
Pleather jacket: TU by Sainsburys
Faux suede wedge trainers: EGO.com
Panels Hobo Bag: Today I’m Me
I went a bit retro with my day three ootd- I went for a sexy Sandy vibe with a high ponytail and red lips, while I took inspiration from the T Birds in my pleather jacket and jeans. Grease is the word!
Day Four: Bright and Beautiful
Dress: Sydney Davies London (sample)
Black & White Bucket Bag: Today I’m Me
I was really lucky to get my hands on a Sydney Davies dress sample for one of my looks. I decided to match my makeup to the dress with a bold orange lip and go with a super contrasting monochrome pinstripe bag. It’s simple yet beautiful!
Day Five: Harley Who?!
Jacket: Custom made Harley Quinn bomber
Denim ripped shorts: Boohoo
Tights: New Look
Bralet and choker: Boohoo
Varsity Shoulder Bag: Today I’m Me
So I think outfit five was my favourite and I really did save the best till last. I decided to go with a look inspired by Harley Quinn from the latest Suicide Squad movie. Normally I’m a Marvel girl but Harley just rocks it, so I got some fishnets, ripped shorts and a custom made bomber to go with the fabulous red satchel bag.
And finally, I thought I would share a few favourite shots from my favourite catwalk shows:
